I can’t believe I’m already halfway through my 12 Weeks to a Fit Physique plan! I know I mentioned I’d post progress pics at the 4-week mark, but I was traveling a TON these past few weeks. Instead, how about some halfway point updates?
The workouts have been easy to stick with because I’ve really been enjoying them! Who knew there was a little weight lifter inside me?! I’ve subbed a few of the cardio workouts for other cardio workouts, like a spin class, and had to adjust some of the moves while traveling due to equipment availability – but otherwise, this girl has been on top of it! The only time I really got away from my assigned workouts was the few days I was at BlogFest. I figured that was ok considering I was doing two (sometimes three!) workouts in a day to make up for the “missed” workout. For instance, on Thursday I missed shoulder and chest workout, but I got in a 3.2 mile run, a yoga class, and a PiYo workout with Chalene Johnson! I think that makes up for it, no?
I also have to toot my own horn and say I’ve been pretty dern good with this macro counting thing. I make sure I’m at or right around my number everyday, even on the weekends, and even while I’ve been traveling!
What keeps me motivated is the fact that I’m seeing and feeling progress! My stomach has been much happier now that I’m eating healthier, my clothes are fitting better, and I feel stronger and more confident.
I took some before pics and measurements and redid them at the halfway point so that I could track everything and share my progress with you. Check it out:

I can see the most progress in my waist and chest/collar bone, and something you can’t really tell from these pictures is that I have triceps now! Woohoo!!!
My boyfriend recently asked me if there’s anything I miss. I gave it some serious thought before saying, “Not really. If I’m really craving something, I find a way to work it into my macros.” And it’s true! There isn’t any sort of food I miss. I’m still not a huge fan of counting everything, but it’s gotten WAY easier.
Six more weeks to go, and I’m excited to see where I end up! If you’re interested in trying the 12 Weeks to a Fit Physique Program, you can check it out here.

How did you like the Piyo? I got it for our trip and I didn’t think I would like it. I am not a yoga fan it is too slow for me, but thought it would be great for the trip and give my body a break. I actually love it!
