I wish somebody would have that gorgeous bowl waiting for me. I’m usually too tired and stabby to make much of a recipe unless I do it ahead.

Awesome roundup for the post-workout refuel! Much needed for many!
Great list! If I eat anything, it’s usually some type of protein. I’ve made smoothies in the past but when I workout at night, the last thing I want to do is make a bunch of noise and wake up my kids.

yum! These are all a whole lot more interesting than what I usually grab, which is a granola bar with some peanut butter π

What an awesome reference! Unfortunately, I am NOT a good post-workout eater. I might be thirsty, but seldom ever feel like eating right away. Now….a couple hours later, get the heck outta my way if I’m headed to the fridge or pantry…

Whoa what a list!! I like savory so if I had to pick from this list, I’d go with the sundried tomato and kale omelet. From the Nuun Seminar I recently attended, Dr. Sims who’s an exercise physiologist and a nutrition scientist recommended nonfat Greek yogurt as
one of the best post recovery workout if you’re not vegan or lactose intolerant. So I drank one of those Chobani Greek yogurt drinks after my long run this weekend. I think it worked!

Great post. I totally agree. Post-workout meal is the most important one! It is when the body requires a lot of proteins and carbohydrates to fill up the glycogen. Not to mention that if you want to lose weight and your strict on carbohydrates, eating them after the work out is smart because they cannot actually turn into fat! Very nice recipes you got here. I promise I will use them!
Fabulous roundup!! They all look good π
I usually want something salty post workout.
