They say it’s your birthday! ba na na na na na!

I was finally starting to feel better yesterday afternoon, so I went for a run after work to try to sweat out the remainder of this cold. I think it helped! Ain’t nobody got time to be sick on their birthday.
My parents came out over the weekend for a birthday lunch. My mom made me this raw carrot cake (I enjoyed it – my parents thought it was “interesting” which is code for gross – whatevs more for me!).
My sister got me an awesome Camel Back Hydration pack, which I’m pumped to use on my long run this weekend, and The Little Rascals on blu-ray, which is a piece of cinematic excellence. Seriously – Oscars should have rained down on that movie. Look at the intensity.. the drama!
My Mom is going to take me on a mother daughter weekend as my gift, but I have to choose a place – somewhere driving distance from NYC. Any suggestions? I’m thinking somewhere we can go for a nice hike and then come back and get our nails done. Know a place?
As my parents were leaving, my mom said, “You’re closer to 30 than you are to 20. Don’t you feel old?”
My response, “How old does that make you?” And that settled that.
Anywhooo, it’s also Wild Workout Wednesday, so I thought I’d come up with a fun little 27th Birthday Sweatday Workout to share with you all. 27 of my favorite moves in one workout. The kicker is you have to sing “Happy Birthday” the whole time you’re doing the workout.
