On Monday I shared a recipe for Rosh Hashanah, which is tomorrow (happy almost New Year!), but today I want to talk about a new kind of holiday: Active Nation Day!

Active Nation Day is a movement created in 2012 by Lorna Jane to help women live an authentic and active life. On Sunday, September 28th, Lorna Jane will be hosting events all over the world, where sporty sisters can learn and take part in a specially choreographed fitness routine (the LJ Move). What’s the routine? I’ll show you!
Step 1 – Give me an L!: Take your right arm vertical and left arm horizontal so it’s super straight, palms flat, fingers pointing straight!
Step 2 – Give me a J!: Quickly switch arm positions (your left arm is now vertical, right horizontal) THEN add a slight bend to your right elbow & clench your hand into a fist

1. Download the Lorna Jane App from the App Store or Google Play. This app is a really fun way to track your movement, get healthy recipes, and get some inspiration to believe in yourself! Just look how pretty it is!
You can use it to track all of fitness activities (from running to rowing to yoga), earn badges, find delicious recipes to fuel up (I can’t wait to try the Maca Hot Chocolate recipe in the picture above), and flip through beautiful inspiration quotes and images to inspire you to get active and live a healthy lifestyle.
2. Get your move on with the LJ Move (give me an L, give me a J!) and you could win $1000 gift card to Lorna Jane! All you have to do is post a picture or video doing the move on instagram with #ActiveNationDay #LJMove. Easy. Peasy!
3. Attend Active Nation Day by either finding an event at a city near you or tracking your movement on the app for exclusive in-store promotion.
