Have all of my north easterners braved the storm? The snowpocalypse really wasn’t too bad here in Brooklyn thank goodness!
The snow and wind did kept me from the gym yesterday, but luckily, I had my new ActivMotion Bar to keep me active from the comfort of my own home!

What is the ActivMotion Bar? I’m glad you asked!
The ActivMotion Bar is a fitness bar filled with rolling steel weights. The moment you pick it up, you can hear the weights moving inside. Working out with this bar really challenges your body because the weights will want to pull you in different directions. The point is to keep the bar balanced (keep the weights from moving around) or use the weights as resistance. It’s always moving, testing your balance, and strengthening your core with every exercise.
The bar comes in different sizes: 6, 8, 10, 15, & 18 pounds. ActivMotion Bar sent me an 8 pound bar along with some DVDs to test it out!
The workouts were pretty awesome! I think the best way is just to show you so check it out!
Looks fun, right! I was having such a blast with this bar that I thought I’d create my own little workout to share with you all. You can do this with the bar (get ‘choself one here) or if you don’t have one, try it with a barbell at the gym or just your own body weight. It will be best with the ActivMotion bar though, as the rolling weights really make a difference.
Do 12-20 reps of each move, rest, and repeat for a total of 3 sets.
I definitely feel this workout. Oh my abs. it hurts to laugh.
