Soooo I’ve been thinking it’s Friday since Wednesday. Isn’t that the worst? Well now it’s Friday! Woohoo! I have wedding festivities this weekend, but before we get to that, it’s time for the Fit & Fashionable Friday Link Up.
Since I started riding my bike into the city, I’ve had to consolidate my gym bag. Everything needs to fit into a backpack vs. my awesome Apera gym bag, and if I just throw everything in, it won’t zip up. I’ll also be bouncing around a lot on my commute (I’m looking at you bumpy Brooklyn roads), so I don’t want everything moving around too much. There’s nothing worse than opening up your bag and having to dig to find your socks.
I found this trick on PureWow and have been using it ever since. It’s the best way to save space and keep everything organized in your bag. Are you ready for your mind to be blown? Here we go:
Start by picking out your gym clothes.
Step 1: Fold your leggings/capris in half, lengthwise. Do the same with your top and sports bra and place everything in a neat stack on top of the leggings.
Step 2: Fold the top pant leg out at a 90-degree angle.
Step 3: Begin to roll everything up tightly, beginning at the bottom of the straight pant leg.
Step 4: Turn the remaining pant leg inside out and use to bundle the rolled up clothing.
Finished! Toss it in your bag and you’re good to go!
