Salty and sweet combine with crunch for the perfect, omega-filled and protein-packed on-the-go snack. Keep Hemp Heart Bites on hand for a healthy, delicious boost anytime you need them.

Happy (Jewish) New Year, everyone! I really can’t believe its Rosh Hashana already. Fall, I feel you coming, and I am so excited.
You know what else is here? Football season! GO COWBOYS! My fantasy team is off to a great start (Yes, I play fantasy football. No, I don’t know what I’m doing), and I’m on the lookout for new healthy football watching snacks!
What makes the perfect football snack? Something munchy, crunchy, slightly salty and delicious! I could get a bag of potato chips or whip up some nachos, but lately I’ve been loving Manitoba Harvest’s new Hemp Heart Bites.
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with these, but they are football snack perfection. They’re made with hemp, organic sweeteners (like cane sugar and brown rice syrup) and a little sea salt, so they’re slightly salty, have just enough sweetness and crunch to perfection. One serving also packs 10g of protein, 3g of fiber and 10g of omegas, so they’re super nutritious and filling.
Manitoba Harvest sent me this cute little snack bag, too, so if the Cowboys aren’t playing on my local channel (which they aren’t most weeks), I can pack them up and bring them to a bar with me. I have food allergies, so having my own snacks on hand is a must. #noshame
And now for the most fun part! Manitoba Harvest is offering all of you lovelies 15% OFF Hemp Heart Bites! Just use code “HHBitesLaunch15” at checkout (expires 11/5/15).
They’re also hosting a fun photo contest! Simply share a pic showing how you and your family stay active during back to school season and tag @manitobaharvest #hhbites @fitapproach #sweatpink for a chance to win a case of Hemp Heart Bites!

Hemp is a variety of cannabis plant – but it won’t get you high or anything like that. Here’s a whole site that explains it and it’s uses: https://www.leafly.com/news/cannabis-101/hemp-101-what-is-hemp-whats-it-used-for-and-why-is-it-illegal
So many Steelers fans! When it comes to PA teams, I’ll take the Steelers over the Eagles any day… as long as they’re not playing my boys ;-P
I REALLY want to get my hands on those and give them a try. I loooove Manitoba Harvest – hooray for Canadian companies!

I tried Hemp Hearts back in the fall and sadly had an allergic reaction to it. I wish that hadn’t been the case. 🙁

These sound delicious! I bet they’d be great to crumble on smoothies and oatmeal and things too. I usually put chia seeds in my oat bake recipes for crunch, but I’d love to try these!
