Friday! Friday! Gotta get down on Friday!
Ah! I know! I’m a terrible person to get that song stuck in your head, but it’s Friday!
Speaking of the end of the week, I can’t believe the Move Nourish Believe Challenge sponsored by Lorna Jane Active and Sweat Pink is at it’s end. I’ve truly enjoyed all the challenges that got me to move my butt, nourish my body, and believe in myself, and loved seeing how everyone else tackled the challenges, too. We’re quite the healthy bunch!
Week 3 was all about believing – in ourselves, in our happiness, and in leading a healthier life! I really need to start doing some of these challenges daily as they really are great ways to do the mind and heart some good – and radiate that goodness out into the world.
Day 1: Spoil Yourself – Monday’s challenge was to do something just for you. I was surprised at how difficult this was. After a busy day, I finally found some time to do what I love most: blog! And to make it a little more special that usual, I enjoyed writing with a glass of wine. Apologies for any misspelled words or nonsensical ramblings in that post. Blame it on the wine!
Day 2: 5 Mindful Minutes – I was meditating nearly every day back in December and January, and this challenge reminded me that I really need to get back into it. Even just finding five minutes to get into zen mode is so helpful. It really does bring clarity and peace of mind. Say it with me now: Ooooooooooooooooom.
Day 3: Be Happy – Get ready for a mini sap fest. While there are so many incredible places in the world, I could be happy anywhere as long as I had my boyfriend’s little nook to crawl into. How could you not be happy snuggling up next to this guy? I mean, he has a pretty awesome fashion sense.
Day 4: Thankful Thursday – There is so much in life to be thankful for, but yesterday, I was particularly thankful to be able to celebrate my Dad’s 53rd birthday! Look how young he still looks! JK. This is a #tbt pic, but he still looks pretty dang good for 53. I hope he passed those young-looking genes on to me!
Day 5: Share the love – Today’s challenge is to give a shout out to my number one supporter/motivator. Do you know who that is? I bet you’ll never guess. Are you ready to find out?

It’s all of you! Every single person that reads this blog, whether you are an active commenter, a daily reader, just stop by every now and again, or are here for the first time – you are my motivation. You inspire me to try new things, create new recipes, and keep blogging. Without you this here blog probably wouldn’t exist, and without this blog to keep me accountable, I might be sitting on the couch right now eating out of a jar of peanut butter. Ok, full discloser, I’m eating out of a jar of peanut butter right now, but without this blog, it wouldn’t be natural peanut butter… and I probably would have slept in this morning instead of going to yoga… and I can almost guarantee I wouldn’t have a marathon under my belt. Thank you all so much for reading, for commenting, for liking, sharing, and retweeting. It means more to me than you’ll ever know.
The Move Nourish Believe Challenge may be over, but I would like to extend the challenge by encouraging all of you to continue to move, nourish, and believe each week. Get your body moving each day, do something to nourish it, and at least once a week, remind yourself to believe in everything you are and everything you do. Let’s keep the health going all year long!
