If there’s one thing I wish I had more time for each day, it would be reading. I love to read. Always have. In fact, I used to have 3 books going at a time, but now that I’m older, working full time and running this blog, I find that reading for pleasure is one thing that I tend to sacrifice to accomplish my other goals. I’ve accepted that it will take me a week to get through the latest issue of Runner’s World and about a year to get through the Game of Thrones Series before I can even think of tackling The Motivation Manifesto, but such is life. However, when I was offered the chance to review Lorna Jane’s latest book, Inspired, the reader in me couldn’t say no! So without further ado, the Inspired Book Review (did I mean to rhyme there? You’ll never know!):
This post is sponsored by Lorna Jane in partnership with Fit Approach.
I’ve been a big fan of Lorna Jane since meeting her at BlogFest 2014, so I’m pumped to get my hands on a copy of her latest creation, a motivational coffee table book. Here are the details of what you can find inside:
- Honest & authentic advice from Lorna Jane Clarkson on finding your personal style, dreaming big and balance
- Nourishing recipes that look almost too good to eat
- A glimpse into the inspiring LJHQ office
- DIY beauty recipes like you’ve never seen before
- Exclusive Q&A’s and features from iconic women who INSPIRE us
- Chapters include: It starts with Believe, Dream Big, Style, Beauty, Happiness, Life at Lorna Jane & more…
I have Lorna Jane’s Nourish Cookbook and follow the Move Nourish Believe blog, so I knew the contents of this book wouldn’t disappoint. I also knew it would be gorgeously designed, and I wasn’t wrong. Every page offers more and more eye candy. Here’s a sneak peek:
And some of my favorite quotes throughout:
I believe to be inspirational you need to live an inspired life.
You cannot live a positive life with a negative mind… nor can you achieve those big reach-for-the-stars goals if you don’t believe you can catch them first.
The dream is free. The chase is sold separately.
A woman who owns her own style will always be stylish.
This book will motivate you and give you dozens of tips to help you lead an inspired life, and when you do that, well… you can do anything! Check it out here and be sure to join the #LJInspired Challenge on Instagram for your chance to win a copy! Here are this week’s prompts to get you going!

I’m the exact same way when it comes to books. I used to read all the time as a child and now I’m lucky to get through one book a year. I’m going to start carving out time, even if its 30 minutes, to read. I really want to get back to enjoying my books!
You can get a lot read in 30 minutes! I hope you find the time!
I try to make time for books! I seem to go through phases with them. I’m definitely more likely to have one on vacation or in the winter when there is less to do outside.

Vacation reading is the best! And airplanes – I try to read a lot on flights.
I wish I could spend all day reading to be honest, I LOVE books and stories and blogs. This one is on my list, but I currently have 4 books on the go right now (mostly self-help so they’re easy to pick up and put down whenever), so I feel like I need to at least finish a few before starting more.

How cool! Which ones are you reading and which are you favorites?
LOVE LJ! All her photos and quotes are always so inspiring! Hope I can get my hands on the book at some point- it would look pretty on my coffee table 😉

It would look pretty on your coffee table. Though I have a feeling two little minions wouldn’t let it stay pretty for long haha
I only learned of Lorna Jane this year, but she’s awesome! 😀 I love the quotes that you picked out. <3
I used to read all the time too, but it doesn't get to happen anywhere near as much as I'd like anymore (sigh). Working on carving out time for it!

It really is!
I’m a huge Lorna Jane fan! Both personally (I got to meet her last year too), and her lifestyle. I’d love to read this book, but I’m very reading challenged lately too. I wonder if it’s an audiobook. 🙂

If it’s not, it should be! That’s a great idea. Then I can listen while I run 🙂
I wish I had more time to read, too. It’s a great way for me to wind down at the end of the day and it can be so easy for me to get lost in a good book! I can’t wait to get my copy on the new Lorna Jane book!

I used to read myself to sleep every night. Now I instagram myself to sleep – terrible. I need to change that!
This looks like such a beautiful book! I need to get my hands on a copy.
I’m in the same boat as you – I love to read but never make the time for it anymore! A few years ago I had a 2-hour commute each way to and from work, and as much as I disliked it, spending that much time on the bus gave me lots of time to read!!

That is the plus side to public transit commuting! If I take the subway to work, I have a nice 20-30 minutes where I can read, but in the morning sometimes I just sleep!
I read a lot but it is not necessarily books I love. I read a lot of nonfiction books on health and fitness and parenting…. and of course a lot of blogs. I just finished my first novel in a couple of years after joining a book club to encourage me. This book looks beautiful.

I do read a lot of blogs, so I guess that counts as reading! What nonfiction health and fitness books have you liked lately?
Great review! I have seen many friends talk about her new book… I need to check it out! 🙂
It’s really a beautiful book!
I love how this book’s layout looks! Very friendly and colorful. I shall add it to my wish list! Thanks for sharing.
