You know how a girl can never have enough shoes? Whether you’re a girly girl or a sneaker lover, you know this to be true. But you know what happens when you have more shoes? You need more socks! Hitherto, a girl can never have enough socks!
No matter how many socks I have, I feel like I never have enough. Each day, I need a pair for the gym and pair for the work, but it’s more complicated than that. I need a certain type for this sneaker, a certain type for that sneaker, a certain type for this workout, and that workout. By the end of the week, I’ve exhausted my sock stash and my sock drawer is left to the rejects: the holey socks (no, they’re not religious), the ones that are missing a partner, or the ones that don’t stay on my feet.
Yet for some reason, I never want to buy new socks. I don’t really know why. They aren’t expensive. It’s not like they’re hard to find. Yet I wait until I’m fresh out of good socks – until I am forced to run in the too low socks or the holey socks that leave me with a blister.
Needless to say, this sock-shopper-avoider was happy when Kushyfoot asked me to try and review some of their socks.
Free socks? YESSSSAAA! I’m pretty sure I couldn’t have been more excited if they offered me shoes.
Check out all the different pairs they sent me!
I immediately started planning my footwear for the week around my socks. Is that weird? (<— don’t answer that).
Pair #1: Low Cut Athletics Socks – I wore these to a weight lifting and cardio session at the gym and immediately fell in love. They are seriously the comfiest socks I’ve ever had. No joke! The package states, “Massages your feet with ever step,” and it’s so true! My arches have never felt better. It really did feel like they were massaging me. Ahhh foot massage… I would have kept them on all day if they weren’t so sweaty (<— sorry for that image).
Pair #2: Sport Foot Cover – These pink puppies got to come sweat it out with me at a Cyc Fitness spin class. They were the perfect choice for the low cut spinning shoes. They didn’t stick out all goofy like, and they kept my feet cozy yet ventilated. I have trouble with super low cut socks as they tend to just slip right off, but these have little grippies on the heel, so they stay put. See?
Pair #3: Extreme Low Cut Lace Foot Covers – I dub these The Lingerie of Socks. So delicate, so pretty, and yet unlike lingerie, they’re comfy! They have a little padding in the toe so you can wear them with heels and get a little extra somethin’ somethin’ to keep the balls of your feet happy. They also have those handy dandy grippy things in the heel to stay put. I wore these with some sneaker wedges and they didn’t budge!
Pair #4: Yoga Socks – I can’t tell you how long I’ve wanted yoga socks. Whenever I do yoga, I tend to slip and slide around my mat. These guys are the cure! They have multiple grippy thingies all along the bottom to really grab hold of whatever surface you’re walking or down-dogging on. They’re a little tricky to get all my bitty toes into (and I kinda felt like a hobo with them on), but once they’re on, they’re really comfy and I didn’t slide once!
Overall, Kushyfoot gets five stars from me! Or maybe I should say 5 socks!
