Oh yes, you read the title of this post correctly. It’s lean, it’s green, and it tastes like cookies and cream!
I had some extra spinach in my fridge, so I decided to throw some leaves into my breakfast smoothie for an extra super-food boost.
The result? Same great tasting smoothie, just with added nutrition (and color!).
It pretty much tastes like dessert for breakfast! Yum!!
I used a specific brand of protein to achieve the cookies and cream flavor (Isopure Cookies & Cream). If you like vegan protein powders, I suggest using Spiru-Tein Cookies & Cream. If you don’t like protein powders at all, I suggest replacing the powder with a mix of vanilla extract, dates, and oreos (or oreo-like cookies). I can’t vouch for how that will turn out, though.
