I had another post planned for today, but after yesterday’s events I wanted to take the time to dedicate this post to anyone and everyone in Boston.
What happened yesterday was horrifying. It is something no one should have to experience, let alone on a day that is suppose to be inspiring and celebratory.
To all the runners who trained for months, and some even for years, for the chance to cross the finish line of the Boston Marathon: I can’t imagine what must be going through your minds. All I can say is that I hope the horror of the day hasn’t stripped you of your love for running, racing, and inspiring so many with your dedication, passion, and courage.
To all of the runners, volunteers, and spectators who witnessed this act of violence: I am sending only good thoughts your way. I hope you can make it through this hard time. Despite everything, I hope you can find the courage to stay the strong, supportive, and positive people I know you must be to be part of this amazing race.
To anyone that was injured and to the families and friends of loved ones who were put in harm’s way: I wish you all a speedy recovery. I hope one day soon you are able to get back on your feet, hit the pavement, and show whoever caused this trauma that they can’t keep you down.
My hearts go out to all of you!
