I’m officially back from the honeymoon, and let me tell you, it’s ROUGH getting back to reality. I’m still dealing with jet lag, but it’s so worth it. Both the wedding and honeymoon were absolutely perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing. I’ll be sharing all my honeymoon traveling fun over the next few weeks, but before getting allllll the way back to real life, I hope you’ll humor me by reliving some of the wedding day love and fun through this photo dump.
We’re still waiting for the official photos to come in from out photographer, but my family and friends captured a few amazing ones. We were able to get access to all of them through an app my sister recommended: Veri. It’s an app by The Knot that allows you to aggregate photos from everyone at your event. We used it and got over 1,000 pictures and videos from out wedding! Below are just a FEW of my favorites.
After a week of rain and crappy weather, Mother Nature decided to smile down on us and gave us the most perfect weather imaginable for our outdoor wedding. We got married at Pecan Springs Ranch here in Texas. I’m so in love with this venue. This fireplace was the perfect back drop for our ceremony, which our friend Kate officiated (she was there when Will and I met back in 2008!).
Before we knew it, the ceremony was over and it was time to party! (BTW, if you’re curious, I got my dress from an Austin shop called Unbridaled. It’s by Venus Bridal. The bottom of the dress was originally white, but I had it made in nude because I liked the little bit of color.)
I loved my dress, but I think I loved my shoes more:
I went down an internet rabbit hole trying to find these shoes. The designer had gone out of business between when I first spotted them in a magazine and when I wanted to order them. I eventually found them on either ebay or amazon or maybe it was alibaba. I’d share a link if I could, but since they were next to impossible to find, I’m not going to try to refind them. They were amazing, though.
Anywho, look! We’re married!
Two of my favorite wedding guests were Sassy and Opie, the donkeys that carried beer around our cocktail hour. Let me tell you, Sassy lived up to her name.
I’m a horrible dancer, but I really enjoyed dancing with my dad. Our Father/Daughter dance song was Song For The Asking by Simon and Garfunkel. We were debating between that and the Spider Pig theme song. Simon and Garfunkel won out because it’s less socially awkward, but my sister asked the band to play Spider Pig at the end of the night because she knew that’s what we really wanted. Plus, it’s my wedding, and I can be awkward if I want to.
After all the first dances, we opened up the dance floor. Will and his Gran tore it up.
I also love this photo of Will with our moms:
One of my favorite parts of our venue was the Love Shack. We set up a little photo booth area for everyone to take pictures.
Our band, Sauce The Band, was KICK ASS. We loved them so much. They truly made out night one to remember, and I’ll never forget when they brought us on stage at the end of the night to sing Don’t Stop Believing with them. Fortunately, they had our mic turned off.
Before we knew it, the night was over. I don’t know when sparklers became a wedding-exit thing, but I love it.
All these pictures are so amazing, I can’t wait to see what our photographer captured.
I can’t thank all our vendors (special shout out to Brushy Creek Events), friends and family enough for making this day so special. And thank all of you for following along on social and sending well wishes.
And now for what you’re really here for: today’s Wild Workout Wednesday Link Up!
