If you’ve been following this here blog for a while, you know I’m no stranger to a good bowl of oatmeal. As a runner, I can’t get enough of its carby goodness. I’m constantly looking for new ways to up my oatmeal game, so when the lovely ladies at Fit Approach reached out with an opportunity to try out MyOatmeal, I jumped at the chance!
MyOatmeal is an awesome company that allows you to customize your own bag of oats! You start by selecting the size bag you’d like and your oatmeal type: quick rolled, 5 grain with flax, steel cut oatmeal, smash blend, gluten-free quick oats, or organic/gluten-free/quick rolled oats.
Then you select your flavors, and I’m not just talking your typical brown sugar or blueberry. They have some crazy delicious sounding flavors like Old Fashioned Glazed Donut, Graham Cracker Crust, and Creme Brûlée…. Mouth. Watering. You can select as many flavors as you like to create any kind of combo! Check ’em out:
And that’s not all! After you select your flavor profile, you can add fruit, nuts, seeds, and sweeteners (everything from monk fruit to white cane sugar). Plus, as you build your oatmeal, the nutrition facts show up on the side, so you can customize to any diet! Bazinga.
So what did I get? It took me FOREVER to decide what I wanted. Home girl had a serious case of indecisiveness. Eventually, I settled on what I call Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Oats! I also decided to go with MyOatmeal’s pre-made Mystery Blend because, let’s be honest, we all need a little more mystery in our lives. Not crazy pyscho Gone Girl Mystery. I’m thinking more like life-is-like-a-box-of-chocolates mystery. You never know what you’re gonna get! (Love me some Forest).
I can not for the life of me figure out what the Mystery Blend is! It smells kinda caramely. Could be creme brûlée or tiramisu. I can’t tell! I obviously could not be a food critic. My palate is failing me. Whatever it is, it’s tasty!
This first thing I did was test out each oat blend in tradition form – just heated and fluffed up with water.
But now that it’s getting warmer (hallelujah!), I wanted to give these a try in chilled, overnight oat form. Soooo say hello to these Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Overnight Oats!
The MyOatmeal oats made these overnight oats especially delicious. The Peanut Butter and Cookie Dough flavors made it taste like dessert and all the extra fixins I added gave it different textures. It’s the perfect concoction! Want these in your belly? Recipe below!
What kind of custom oats would you make?

No oatmeal?! Oh no! I actually just found out I have a bunch of food allergies (nuts, wheat, soy, and corn!), so I have to start doing some elimination diets to see what helps. First to go is nuts, and I’m a nut lover! This PB Cookie Dough Oatmeal may be last last dance with peanut butter ever :(. I’ll have to come to you for some everything-free recipes!
I got the vanilla cream and the chocolate hazelnut oats. It’s so fun to see what others do with their oats!

I have never had a bowl of oatmeal (gasp!), but these sounds absolutely delish and I think I am going to order some!
I just started “liking” oatmeal cookies a couple of years ago….I know, I’m a little behind in the oatmeal world.

You’ve never had oatmeal?! Oh my goodness! You must try. It’s so versatile. You should definitely make a mix you think you’d like. Then you can make a classic bowl of oats, cookies, or even granola from it :).
