I love granola. I mean – what’s not to love. I don’t think I’ve ever had a flavor of granola I didn’t like. Every time I go to the grocery, I’m tempted to buy a bag, but a lot of pre-made-off-the-shelf granolas are loaded with unnecessary ingredients – like sugars, oils, or preservatives.
I’d prefer to make my own granola. For one, I get to control all of the ingredients that go into it, but better yet, baking granola makes my whole apartment smell AMAZING. So after I ran out of the crazy amounts of granola I had from a few months worth of Nature Boxes, I went back to the homemade stuff.
What kind did I make? Pumpkin is a good choice this kind of year, but I wanted something a bit more classic.
Enter: Peanut Butter Granola
Cue the singing angels. This stuff is delish! Better yet, it’s so incredibly simple to make and the ingredients are kept to a minimum.
I plan on eating the bulk of this granola with an apple and (you guessed it) more peanut butter! Nom nom nom.
Bake it, take in the heavenly scent, and enjoy with an apple, mixed in with yogurt, as a cereal, a topping for ice cream, anything! Peanut butter granola is pretty much the best snack ever – and great fuel for running ;-).
What’s your favorite kind of granola? Do you buy it or make it?
