First things first, Happy Hanukkah to all my Jewish friends! As my Hanukkah gift to you, I’m sharing a delicious new recipe and a cool new product for all my foodies out there, so tonight, light your candles and enjoy this delicious Pistachio Pear Honey Yogurt made with Nektar Honey Crystals for dessert! And then wake up tomorrow and have it again for breakfast! And then enter the awesome GIVEAWAY at the end of this post. Actually, do that last one first! (and don’t forget about the UnderArmour Giveaway!)
You may remember me talking about Nektar Honey Crystals in this post, but here’s a little refresher:
Necktar Honey Crystals are just that: honey in solid, crystalized form. This stuff is so amazing because it means you can get your honey without dealing with the sticky mess. As someone without a dishwasher, I’ll be the first to tell you that trying to clean out a measuring cup or spoon that had honey in it is quite the task. Well, with Nektar Naturals you get your honey without all the globby grossness! Just sprinkle these little crystals in your favorite beverage (hot or cold), onto yogurt (like this recipe!) or oatmeal (like these Matcha Honey Oats) or bake it into cookies, cakes or energy bars! You can also use them for marinades or glazes for meat, poultry and fish. They’re incredibly versatile.
When I last shared Nektar Honey Crystals with you, they only came in individually wrapped packets. Now they also come in this handy dandy pourable bottle (available at Walmart)! It makes it so much easier for creating recipes because I can just measure out how much I need.
I absolutely love sprinkling these honey crystals onto plain, lactose-free yogurt. The crystals dissolve as you stir them in, delivering the perfect amount of sweetness. I usually top my yogurt with apple slices or granola, but I thought I’d get a little fancier with this recipe, it being a holiday and all!
I wasn’t sure what my plan was, but when I went to the store, I spied Yoinashi Pears (which I’ve never had before) and pistachios. The light bulb went off and I’m pleased to say, it’s a delicious combination! Top it off with an extra sprinkling of Nektar Honey Crystals and your festival of lights will be all the sweeter!
Alright, I won’t keep you from your gift any longer. Onto the recipe!

- 1 cup plain, lactose-free yogurt (I used Green Valley Organics)
- 1 tsp Nektar Honey Crystals (plus more for sprinkling)
- 1/2 small pear, sliced
- 5-6 pistachio nuts, chopped or crushed
- Stir 1 tsp Nektar Honey Crystals into the yogurt.
- Top with pear slices and chopped pistachios.
- Add an extra sprinkle of Nektar Honey Crystals on top.
- Grab a spoon and enjoy!
(Giveaway is open to US residents only. Must be 18 or older to enter. Winner will be contacted via email and will have 48 hours to respond).
