Happy Tuesday! Today is an extra special Tuesday because today is my sister’s birthday!! Woohoo!! Can we get a big happy birthday to my beautiful sister, Sam?!
Happy Birthday, Sam!! I hope you have the most fabulous day!
We have something else to celebrate today, as well: the grand opening of the Reebok FitHub in Union Square!
The following post is sponsored by FitFluential LLC on behalf of Reebok.
What is Reebok FitHub? In a nutshell, it’s a Reebok store mixed with a gym! You can go in to shop and purchase gear or to take classes (everything from yoga classes to crossfit inspired classes)! Oh yea, and the classes are free!
I mentioned last week that I would be heading to FitHub for a yoga class taught by Tara Stiles. Let me tell you, it was wonderful!
I arrived a bit early so that I could take a look around. The shop is split into two sections, men’s and women’s, and then those sections are divided into areas for crossfit gear, yoga apparel, running clothes, and shoes. Check it out:
It was like walking around a candy store! I wanted to buy everything! Luckily Reebok supplied me with some of their new yoga apparel.
The sent me the:
- the Yoga Plus Bra
- the Studio Tank
- the YO-GA Hoodie (it says “GA” on the back)
- the Reebok One Series Legging
I love all of it! The tank in particular is so soft and cozy. I’m pretty sure I could live in it 24/7 if it was self-cleaning.
Anyway, I perused the store for a bit, and soon enough Tara arrived. I was amazed and inspired by her beautiful energy. She had JUST landed in NYC and came straight to FitHub to bring us all a wonderful class.
The Reebok folks moved a few racks out of the way, supplied us with yoga mats, and we were off to a relaxing yoga class to kick off the weekend.
It had been a while since I’d done any yoga. It felt great to get back to the mat. Tara led the class in a very free way, giving us guidance but allowing us to do our own thing, which I really enjoyed. It didn’t feel like a stuffy studio yoga class at all. She was laughing and smiling throughout – which in my opinion, is what yoga should be all about – bringing positive energy and a relaxing state of mind to life. I hope I’m fortunate enough to take a class with Tara again!
After the class, I headed over to a little table where LocalInk was there to customize any gear purchased in the store! Like the class, it was also free!! I loved the designs so much that I took the tank I was wearing off right then and there so they could customize it. Don’t worry, I had my cute little sports bra on, so I was covered. Mostly. (#noshame).
I picked out an awesome design of the Statue of Liberty holding up a kettle bell instead of a torch. Baller, right?!
They screen-printed it right onto the shirt, dried it immediately under a super hot lamp, and I was good to put it right back on.
So in quick summary, I got some awesome gear, got to take a wonderful class, and got to customize said awesome gear all for FREE!
If you live in the NYC area, I highly recommend you head to the new Reebok Union Square Fit Hub, take a class, get some gear, and get it customized! LocalInk will be there for a few more weeks doing customizations and the classes will be offered throughout the year! These classes are no joke. They bring in some of the most amazing instructors (like the lovely Tara Stiles) and aren’t just for yogis. Joe DeSena (I read his book a few months back) will be leading a Spartan-inspired running workout there later this week! You can check out the class schedule here to see the range of classes and instructors Reebok is bringing in. There’s everything from yoga to BodyCombat.
Reebok also has 4 other FitHubs in the NY/NJ area that you can check out: Reebook FitHub Westchester, Garden State, Upper East, and 5th Ave.
I’m heading back today for another class: a workout with Team J2Fit, so stay tuned for updates!
Have you ever taken a workout class inside of a store?
What do you think of the new Reebok yoga apparel?

Did you actually meet Tara Stiles?! She is such a yoga sensation! Lucky you!

I love all that Reebok gear, and that you have this available to you! I wish we had that out here in California… although I can’t complain too much!

Well that sounds like a pretty cool place! I have taken a yoga class in the Lululemon store before but the Reebok store sounds way cooler 🙂

It’s pretty similar to Lululemon in how it’s set up, but I think the class offering is cooler 🙂
