I recently cashed in some of my Earndit reward points for some Rise Bars. If you haven’t tried Rise Bars, I highly recommend them. Rise creates different types of bars for different needs and for various times of day. I ordered their Breakfast Bar Crunchy Mixed Box. All of these bars are dairy-free (hence why I chose this box over others), but on top of that they are also free of gluten, preservatives, soy, peanuts and are kosher. AKA: If you have food allergies, these are the bars for you!
The Breakfast Bar Mixed Box came with 5 different flavors (all 190 calories or less):
There are so many good things about these bars. For one, there is no added sugar. All of the breakfast bars are sweetened with honey and dates and the natural sweetness of the fruit. When you unwrap a bar, there is no question about what ingredients are in it. You can see them all! Full pumpkin seeds, chunks of cranberry, you name it. They were great for breakfast and for snacks. There was one day I was so crazed at work that I had one for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! The fruit, nuts, and honey worked together to keep me energized and full despite the craziness of the day.
Not a single flavor failed to impress. I’m a nut lover, so my favorite flavor was the Cashew Almond. I might have to try the Energy + Bars next (they’re all vegan). It’s a shame I can’t have the Protein + Bars. Crunch Carob Chip sounds delish!
These might give Luna Bars a run for their money on my favorite snack bar list.
Do you have a go to snack or granola bar? Ever tried making your own?
