So you hit snooze too many times. It’s alright. We’ve all been there. Now you’re up, your running clothes are on, and you have to somehow squeeze in a five mile run when you only have time for two. How the heck are you going to do it?
SPOILER ALERT: you aren’t.
BUT there are still a few things you can do to make your run effective and impactful even when you’re short on time. In this week’s episode of Runners Who Wine, Annmarie and I are sharing all our running hacks for doing just that.
Some of our running hacks for when you’re short on time involve preparing for your run ahead of time so you can get out the door faster. Some of our hacks involve multitasking, and some involve ways you can still get your scheduled miles in.
The most important thing to remember when you find yourself lacking in necessary minutes is not to beat yourself up. Like I said, we’ve all been there. Sometimes it’s the snooze button. Sometimes it’s a sick kiddo. Sometimes it’s a last minute early work meeting. It happens. Rather than throw in the towel and skip the workout completely, get your endorphins going and good vibes flowing with as much of a run as you can squeeze in.
