Subscription programs and box exchanges are all the rage lately. I participated in a few different box exchange programs a few months ago (like this and this). I really enjoyed putting thought into personalizing a box for another foodie and getting a personalized box in return. However, shopping for little things to fill up the box can be very time consuming. I also found that once I paid for shipping, I was shelling out much more than I had planned.
I thought it might be time to switch from swap to subscription, but it’s been difficult to find a foodie subscription program that accommodates my dietary limitations. Then I found Vegan Cuts.
I discovered Vegan Cuts (a vegan-focused deal site a la Groupon) at a Vegan Shop-Up event a few months back and signed up for their e-newsletters. One week, I saw that they offered a subscription program offering samples of all kinds of vegan goodies not just limited to food. This seemed perfect! Any food items would be meat and dairy-free. I could spend less money than I did on the box swaps and since I wouldn’t be shopping for someone else, I’d also save time.
Sandy delayed delivery of my first Vegan Cuts box for a bit, but I finally received it a few days ago. I was very happy with the assortment of goodies inside. Check it out:
Seasnax Toasty Onion Seaweed – This made for a perfect mid-afternoon snack. It’s the perfect size and incredibly low calorie.
Surf Sweets Sour Berry Bears – I love love love gummy bears. It’s tough to find vegan ones, especially vegan sour ones, so these were a real treat.
The Simply Bar – I’ve definitely had better protein bars, but it was definitely filling.
Kelapo Virgin Coconut Oil – I haven’t tried this yet, but I’m sure it will be amazing.
Berry Plus – This was one of the non-food items. It’s a berry-based laundry detergent. Interesting, right? I’ll be testing it out next laundry day.
Kur Delights Dark Chocolate Mint – This bite sized treat was totally raw, organic, and amazing!
Simply Straws – A reusable straw, perfect for my morning smoothies!
