Whether you’re shopping for the food-lover in your life or you’re a foodie looking to amp up your wish list, be sure to check out this guide to the best gifts for foodies in every budget.
It’s gift guide season, my friends! Over the next few weeks, I’ll be providing you with gift guides for all the wonderful people in your life.
First, let’s start with the foodies! Fancy new kitchen gadgets are always at the top of my wish list, but they can be pricey, so I’ve broken this guide down by price range. Let’s see what should be waiting underneath the tree and by the menorah!
Inexpensive Gifts For Foodies
Pampered Chef Flexible Cutting Mats – $17 – My mom has a set of these, and they’re amazing. They have grip on the bottom, so they won’t slide around. Once all your things are chopped up, you can pick up the mat and fold it so that all your food slides easily into your pot/pan/tupperware/etc.
Cuisinart Immersion Blender – $32.50 – I’ve always wanted an immersion blender, so this is definitely on my list. I could use it to make my own mayo, blend up sauces or whip up soups. The possibilities are endless!
SNAP’N STRAIN Clip On Strainer – $12.99 – I don’t know about you, but I always struggle with straining things like steamed veggies and pasta. I don’t like the bottom of the strainer touching the dirty sink, so I have to play this balancing game of having the strainer in one hand and the heavy pot in the other. This little invention is genius! You clip it onto your pot and strain the liquid right out. Easy peasy.
Moscow Mule Copper Mugs – $29.97 – These are just so awesome. Anytime I get a drink in one of the mugs, I think about stealing it. Since stealing is a crime, I’ll just ask for them for the holidays! This set comes with two mugs, two shot glasses, and a drink recipe ebook!
Create Your Own Cookbook – $17.99 – I have recipes written down or printed out scattered all over the place. A handy little book like this would help me stay organized and save all my favorite recipes in one place. This bad boy comes with dividers and category sticker labels.
Mid-Priced Gifts For Foodies
Sun Basket Gift Card – $75 – Meal delivery services have taken off this past year, and Sun Basket is one of my favorites. I tried out a few of their meals a few months ago, and both Will and I loved every bite of every dish. Their ingredients are organic, and they have paleo, gluten free and vegetarian subscription options. What I love most about subscription boxes like this is that it lets you try out new dishes and ingredient combos you may have never thought of.
Prep Dish Gift Card – $14-$149 – If your foodie is into meal prep, or wants to get into meal prep, Prep Dish is a great gift! A subscription will give/him her weekly menus, shopping lists, prep-day instructions and cook-day instructions to make meal planning and a prep a breeze. Like Sun Basket, there are gluten free and paleo options.
Hamilton Beach Espresso Maker – $66.69 – Got a coffee lover to shop for? Get them this guy and they’ll love you forever. This particular espresso maker can brew two cups at a time, so it’s perfect for hosting brunch or simply making yourself a double!
Fancy Gifts For Foodies
FoodSaver FM5000 – $199 – I was fortunate enough to receive one of these from FoodSaver, and I’m slightly obsessed with it. I used to always think vacuum sealers were complicated, but this one is a cinch to operate. It has an Express Bag Maker that automatically creates a seal for your next bag and a little viewing window so you can see exactly where your bag will be sealed. It keeps food fresh 5x longer than ordinary storage methods and is compact enough that I can store it in my cabinet easily. Now I can shop in bulk and freeze extras (hello, money saver!), or I can have a massive food prep day, vacuum seal everything, and have food for weeks! This thing is a foodie’s BFF.
Vitamix S30 – $399 – My favorite purchase of all time is my Vitamix. A few years after I bought mine, Vitamix came out with the S30, which allows you swap out the main container for a 20oz container that doubles as a travel cup. Now I want another Vitamix. This is a smoothie-lovers dream come true!
I could probably keep this list going forever, but I’ll stop here before it gets out of hand. Hopefully this helped give you an idea of what to get the foodie in your life or gave you more things to add to your wish list!
