So, we’re halfway through January. Have you been keeping up with your New Year’s Resolutions? (you don’t have to answer that).
Change isn’t always easy – especially when it comes to our health. You can’t just ditch the cookie for broccoli or instantly become a cross fit junky. True change takes baby steps – one itty bitty step at a time until your running in healthy land.

It’s ridiculously tasty. Oh yea, and all of their flavors are under 150 calories! What what! (yep, I am totally aware “what what” is a dated phrase – but whatevs – I’m bringing it back!)
I can go on and on about the amazingness that is the Vega One Nutritional Shake, but my favorite part about the shake is how it has helped me stay healthy.
You see, I have a confession. Overall, I am a very healthy person, but I am Serial Snacker.
Everyday at 3pm, I crave a snack. I also have to have something sweet after dinner. Sometimes, I’m not even hungry. I just “need” that dessert. This is where Vega One Nutritional Shakes help me. It’s the perfect snack for my 3pm craving. So tasty and so filling! And a snap to make. Just combine with water, soy/almond/coconut milk, or even juice! Shake and go! As for my after-dinner sweet treat – the vanilla and chocolate flavors are great for making a post-dinner smoothie or for mixing into healthy fruit-based ice creams, like this now super healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein “Ice Cream” (recipe below!).

- 1 frozen banana
- 1 scoop Vega One Chocolate Protein Powder
- 2 Tbsp PB2 (or 1/2 tablespoon all natural peanut butter)
- 1/4 cup of almond milk
- Place the banana, protein powder, and pb2 in a high speed blender (I use a Vitamix).
- Turn on and slowly increase speed.
- Slowly add in almond milk until the mixture reaches the consistency of soft-serve ice cream. Add more milk as needed.
- Scoop out of the blender and enjoy with a big spoon (or a small one to make it last longer!).
