Can you believe it’s the last Friday in April? Gosh, time flies! But I love me some weekend, so you won’t hear any complaints from me. The only question I have for you is: are you ready for some Fit & Fashionable Friday fun?!
I actually received my April Fitness Edit from Wantable a few weeks ago (check out my last two boxes here and here), but with the craziness of life and travel, I wasn’t even able to take a peek inside my box until this past weekend. Usually, you have five days to try everything on, keep what you want and return what you don’t, but I knew five days wouldn’t be enough for me this time around. Fortunately, Wantable has a FAB customer service team. I let them know that I was traveling a lot, so they extended the return deadline to a date that suited me. Phew! A girl can’t take her fit & fashionable decisions lightly, so I really appreciated the great service.
Anywho, after my last edit, I decided to leave a few notes for my stylist. I told her I wasn’t a huge fan of plain gray or black leggings and much prefer color and cool prints. I also told her when it comes to sports bras, I’m all about high impact and good support.
This is what is so great about this service. You have your own stylist you can talk to and insure you’re getting things that suit your style and type of fitness. Learn more about how Wantable works and how much it costs over here.
My stylist did a great job! Let’s see what she put into my April edit:
Printed Performance Capris Above NYC
I love the print on these capris. NYC – represent! I kept trying to find my office, but the print features a section of Manhattan that is further uptown. Anywho, they were really cute and comfortable on, but the waistband kept rolling down. I tried to convince myself that wouldn’t bother me, but I knew it probably would.
Final Decision: Returned
Zipline Bra
This bra is adorable and supportive (win for my stylist!). I love the color, and the zipper in the front makes it so much easier to get on and off when you’re a sweaty beast. Unfortunately, the zipper started to unzip as I was taking photos. I definitely don’t want to risk my sports bra coming undone mid workout!
Final Decision: Returned
BLS Payton Jacket
I wanted to love this jacket. It’s really light and just so damn cute. Wouldn’t it be the perfect workout-to-brunch kind of piece? Unfortunately, I don’t think peplum and I get along. I don’t know if my hips are too wide or my shoulder are too broad or what, but every time I try a anything with peplum, the mirror says, “What are you doing? Take that off.” Will said he liked it, so maybe my mirror is lying, but I think peplum and I just aren’t meant to be.
Final Decision: Returned
Hikers Capri Scale Print
I was pumped when I pulled these out of my box. First, the color and pattern – so much fun. Then – the side pockets! I have been wanting running capris/pants with side pockets for so long! That way, I can stash my phone or fuel without having to dive into a belt. I can’t wait to take these for a run.
Final Decision: Kept
Botanical Tank
The back on this tank is super cute. It has a built in bra that provides some support, but not a ton. It might be good for a summer day when I want to go on a leisurely bike ride or if I ever get back into yoga, but I can’t see myself wearing it too often at the moment.
Final Decision: Returned
While I only ended up keeping one item in my April Fitness Edit, I still think my stylist did a great job picking pieces based on the feedback I gave her. I’m excited to see what May will bring! Side pockets are the BEST!
Everything is really cute! I love side pockets on my running bottoms. It used to be that Lululemon was the only one who had them, but now other brands are starting to see how functional they are, which is great. Also, I think that jacket looks really cute on you!

Thanks, Jennifer! Side pocket should be a mandatory on running bottoms now. They’re so handy!
Love the tank, but wish it had more support. And love the NYC pannnntsss. I would love a pair of leggings with the subway map on it…

I hadn’t heard of Wantable but it sounds pretty cool! You look so good in all of the pieces, but I know what you mean about peplum…I don’t like the way it looks on me either.

I always want to love peplum. It looks so cute on other people, but no dice for me.
LOVE the capris with side pockets!! Why can’t every company make them like that – or at least a pocket in the back! it’s so frustrating to find a cute capri and then there is no place for your phone and car key.
Really cute stuff here – I think you look good in all of it!! 🙂

Right? I wish all my capris had side pockets now! I won’t buy another pair without them haha
The botanical tank is super cute. I am looking for something like that but I also need to have support. #problems Your butt is looking amazing! Thanks for the linkup!

Agree on the support front. Built-in bras are never quite enough for me.
Both of those capris prints are so cute. I’m quite jealous at how great you look in those patterns!
