Another week, another dose of…
I almost always start the day off with a smoothie, and I’m constantly trying to come up with new combos. Here are a bunch I tried this week:
Top left: Blue Oats Smoothie. This is like my favorite blueberry overnight oats in a jar but in smoothie form! I still have to perfect it, but full recipe coming soon
Top right: Hide the Spinach Smoothie. This is a delicious concoction of banana, blueberries, protein, and spinach that you’d never know was there! – full recipe coming soon
Bottom left: Tropical Twist Smoothie. A pineapple-banana blend that will make you feel like you’re on a beach vaca, or at least wish you were on a beach vaca! – full recipe coming soon
Bottom right: Rainbow Smoothie! This loaded smoothie has ingredients from every color of the rainbow. – recipe below!
Snacks & Goodies
A day isn’t complete with a mid-afternoon snack, and dinner isn’t complete without a healthy dessert!
Bottom left: Yonanas Sundae! – 1 ½ frozen bananas, 3 strawberries, 2 crumbled up Tagalongs (I finally got my Girl Scout Cookies!), walnuts, and a little chocolate syrup.
Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Highlights
I didn’t have all these delicious meals on the same day, but these are some standouts from the week:
Top left: Fresh Kale Salad from Delicatessen (kale, shiitake mushrooms, golden raisins, cashews, sprouts, silken tofu, mirin vinaigrette)
Top right: I found a chinese place in my neighborhood that has Vegetarian General Tso’s “Chicken”!
Bottom: Cinco de Mayo breakfast! (Bisquick Heart Smart Pancakes and scrambled eggs!)
