How is it winter already? I left New York and it was fall. I come back from Texas and it’s freezing! I am not mentally ready for cold weather running, but the marathon training must go on!
I pulled out all my cold weather gear, found my gloves and something to cover my ears, and braved the 20-something degree weather for a 4 mile run. Once I got going, it wasn’t so bad. Running kept my heart going and my body temperature up, so the only thing I had to be careful about was avoiding ice patches. Ice patches, people! I was just running next to cacti in Texas. I digress…
Overall, I’d much rather run in the super cold weather than the super hot. Want to get into winter running?
